I would be suspicious. It's just disrespectful. I would confront him about it, and ask him why he said that. You know he probably wouldn't be okay with you texting other guys with "hey sexy". The best thing you can do is confront him, and dump him if he doesn't see an issue with it. She may not be the only one.
