My boyfriend wants space and time to make us better and agreed counseling but he keeps coming around?

He broke up with me for space n time n says he will come back if it goes right but I dk and he said he'd do counseling and still invite me places but how do I react when im around him, I want him back deperately and its hard being around him without crying..someone please help me he's so confusing n im tired of hurting
